One Day at a Time is an American sitcom based on the iconic Norman Lear's 1975–1984 sitcom of the same title. This hilarious and heartfelt comedy follows three generations of a Cuban-American family, navigating the ups and downs of life. The series was aired on Netflix from January 6, 2027 to February 8, 2019 and it was moved to Pop, then premiered on March 24, 2020.

Plot

Newly-single mom and military veteran Penelope (Justina Machado), journeys through the triumphs and tribulations that come with raising two strong-willed, mega-millennial children (Isabella Gomez) and (Marcel Ruiz), all the while enlisting the help of her old-school mother (Rita Moreno) and her building manager-turned-invaluable confidant (Todd Grinnell).

Through a contemporary lens, One Day at a Time offers a glimpse at what life looks like in good times and bad, and emphasizes the importance of family.
